The 2019 Sportspick NRL Super Tipper National competition was once again hotly contested and has concluded with a standalone winner on the national leaderboard.
Congratulations to Maxwell Foster of Wests Illawarra Club, Unanderra NSW who tipped the 4 of 8 winning teams in round 25 to finish 1 clear of his rivals with a final tally of 134 correct tips to each take home $20,000 cash.
In 2016 147 correct tips was the top score so tipping in 2019 has been relatively tough with plenty of upsets and sees an the top 8 teams going into the finals series all with a chance for premiership glory, well... all except for the Broncos and Manly ;)
Congratulations also go to Brian Keland of Bayview Hotel, Batemans Bay NSW, Shelley Cowie of Narooma Hotel NSW and Gina Argenio from Wests City, Newcastle NSW who finished in a tie for 2nd place for a $3334 pay day.
Not to forget all the Local Venue NRL competition winners and a big thank you goes out to all the Sportspick Captains' who manage their local venue comps around the Sportspick network.
This year the final round results saw the eventual top 4 tippers maintain their positions from round 24 with 6 favourites saluting and thus providing little opportunity for the chasing pack to claw back the lead.
The Knockout competitions were decided prior to the final this year with plenty of upsets early in the season. Luke Somerville from The Dudley Hotel, Bathurst NSW wins with the KO comp lasting through to round 25 to take home the $5000 KO prize.
The new King Pin competition continues throughout the finals series cuminating in Quadruple points on the Grand Final match. Don't forget to continue to tip in the $10000 NRL King Pin comp throughout the finals.
Remember also that the Spring Carnival tipping comp is open for tipping and you have the opportunity to win cash prizes and also a trip for 2 to the NT to attend the Darwin races as a thoroughbred racehorse owner for the day!
Look out for the Rugby World Cup competition kicking off on 20th September and the upcoming Summer Night Racing plus Big Bash League comps starting in December.
